Round 6 – Season 2024
With many players missing teams had to work hard to get the best results on the day.
Under 9
Although the Kingston/Lucindale Under 9s didn’t have their whole team on the field today they still played well and worked well with the opposing team’s fill ins.
Everyone was having a go in different positions today and they all did very well where they went. They got 1 goal this week which they did work very hard to get.

The game started off strong from both teams, with Tahlia Maynard scoring an excellent goal, from a great pass by Monique Shepard.
There were lots of attempts at goal especially by Redlegs, and they successfully scored 2 goals, defeating Kingston/Lucindale 2-1.
Overall, a great game from both teams.

Kingston/Lucindale vs Redlegs- Women
The game started off strong for Kingston/Lucindale who scored their first goal within the first minute of the game at the hands of Sarah Hamilton.
Redlegs were keen to make a comeback but Kingston/Lucindale defence was too solid. Kingston/Lucindale pushed back for another attempt at goal and scored off a short corner, then kept the momentum going with another goal soon scored leaving the score 3-0 at half time.
The second half started with Redlegs making many attempts to get the ball through Kingston/Lucindale defence to have a shot but no turn over. Kingston/Lucindale were quick to turn the momentum around and with their young guns they quickly pushed the ball back into their attacking half to score 3 more in the second half.

Kingston/Lucindale vs Redlegs – Men
On Saturday afternoon Kingston/Lucindale Rangers and Redlegs went head to head in a well fought match.
The game started well paced with the ball travelling to both ends of the field. Both teams fought hard to execute a goal, yet no one was successful.
Redlegs came out hard in the second quarter scoring two quick goals. Kingston/Lucindale Rangers defended hard and countered but couldn’t score.
The third quarter saw an even fight in both the attacking and defence. While Redlegs scored multiple short corners, Kingston/Lucindale Rangers defence was strong keeping the ball out of the goals. Towards the end of the third quarter Kingston/Lucindale Rangers were finally successful coming away with a goal.
As the final quarter began both teams were eager to score, taking the field with determination. Redlegs fought hard managing to score the final goal of the match.
