Two $100 Sports Vouchers for all school children aged 5 to 15 years in 2025.
A Government of South Australia initiative
administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing.
The Naracoorte & District Hockey Association is a registered provider for Sports Vouchers.
Some individual clubs are also registered providers, please check with your club treasurer to confirm provider status.
2025 vouchers are available to all South Australian children from Reception to Year 9 (this means the child would be born between 2010 to 2020 inclusive).
Each eligible child can claim 2 x $100 vouchers per calendar year. Both vouchers can be used with the same provider.
How does the Sports Vouchers program work?
There are currently two methods of claiming a sports voucher. The method depends on the provider’s system. Some providers have online registrations where claiming the sports voucher has been integrated into their systems, while some providers offer a refund option instead.
If the provider does not have the sports voucher integrated into their online registrations, you’ll need to download a copy of the sports voucher. Once completed, take the sports voucher to your approved provider to receive a discount on the fees when you register.
Providers access the secure Sports Voucher Portal to redeem vouchers and receive reimbursement.
The Sports Vouchers can be redeemed at either one or two providers per calendar year. You may choose to use 1x $100 voucher for each of two sports, or you may choose to use both vouchers with one provider.
Request to use your Sports Voucher
Let your registered provider know that you want to use your Sports Vouchers entitlement to discount $100 or $200 from the membership fee.
Provide Information
Provide all the required details to the provider (the voucher specifies all the details that providers need to collect from you). The critical piece of information is your child’s 11-digit Medicare number or Australian visa number. The most common ways to give your child’s details to the provider are:
- Filling out a hard copy voucher or
- Through the providers own online registration system (if available)
- Through an online form which the provider has created
Pay
After you have given all the details necessary to receive a voucher, the provider must reduce their fees by up to $100 (or $200 if using both vouchers with the same provider). You must then pay the remaining balance. The preferred method is to provide a discount on fees at the time of payment (e.g. if fees are $200, the parent will pay $100, and the provider will claim the remaining $100 from the Sports Vouchers Plus team).
Some providers cannot offer a discount upfront at the time of registration (due to varying reasons). In these instances, the parent pays the full fees and is refunded the $100 or $200 once the provider has received reimbursement from the Sports Vouchers Plus team.
