Kingston/Lucindale vs Tatiara – Women
The game started quick for Tatiara who went forward and had several good strikes at goal, but were well defended, until Elf Williams scored off a PC.
Kingston/Lucindale not having much time to regroup as Claire Harkness kept them on their toes sitting on the back post and narrowly missing the goals. Lauren Krause was well supported by the Kingston/Lucindale defence in deftly taking the ball off the Tatiara forwards, but as the pressure kept coming, cracks started to show.
Elf scoring 2 goals in quick succession, blasting them past the goalie. Brooke Green and Jessamy Bennett for Kingston/Lucindale teamed up well to work the ball out of defence and moving up the field, but Amy Hunt (Tatiara) was quick to shut them down at the halfway line.
Abbey Martin (Tatiara) was quick to pounce on a ball that was lost at the goal mouth and put it away as Tatiara’s 4th goal. Sigourney Williams (Tatiara) showed off her PC striking with 2 solid goals just minutes apart.
Querida Pearse (Tatiara) and Tamsyn Butler (KL) had a good tussle up and down the field, with each displaying quality skills. Carlee and Jen (KL) created some good play working the ball up towards their attack, but was shut down by Clarry (Tatiara), passed off to Amy who took off running down the right side of the field to the send the ball across the centre of the “D” to a perfectly placed Elf who slammed it home for her 4th goal of the evening.

Redlegs vs Kingston/Lucindale – Men
Tatiara started off strong with a fast break in the first few seconds of the game, ending with a short. Kingston/Lucindale retaliated but Tatiara was too strong, with a goal converted from Karl Darlitz (Tatiara). Play being pretty even, going back and forth, ending with a short for Tatiara, with no conversion.
Tatiara had a few fast breaks, Kingston/Lucindale retaliated with a skilful fast break, but with no goal on the score board. Tatiara scored a short corner from a good play through Jonah Williams, ending with a goal through James Verco. We saw some good passes from Kingston/Lucindale, with a few very close calls on goal. Tatiara responded with a fast break, but with no conversion. The half ended with Tatiara leading 2-0.
The first few minutes of the second half, the play was pretty even, with Kingston/Lucindale awarded with a short corner, through some skilful play from Connor Butler, but no conversion was made.
Kingsotn/Lucindale kept the attack on with multiple short corners played. Tatiara had a fast break, ending with a goal from Jonah Williams (Tatiara). Kingston/Lucindale did a fast dash including some skilful play which forced a successful penalty corner through Derek Butler, putting Kingston/Lucindale on the score board.
Things hyped up resulting in a quick break from Tatiara, which ended with a short. Danny Verrall ended that quarter with a goal for Tatiara.
Through a few quick passes, a short was given to Kingston/Lucindale. Derek Butler working hard to penetrate the goal line, but no score. After lots of back and forth play, Kingston/Lucindale had a few fast breaks, but with no score.
Kingston/Lucindale had majority of the play, with many quick plays, but all ending with no scores. Tatiara getting on top with a score of 4-1.
