Encouraging Volunteerism and Community Support
To make this season a success, we encourage all members to support their clubs by volunteering. There are numerous ways to get involved, and every effort counts. Whether it’s helping out in the canteen, bar, with setup or pack up, as umpires, coaches or tech-bench officials, or by supporting fundraisers, your contribution is invaluable.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Canteen and Bar Duties: Help serve food and drinks, manage stock, and ensure everyone is well-fed and hydrated.
- Setup and Pack Up: Assist with setting up the field and equipment before matches and packing everything away afterward.
- Umpiring, Tech-bench and Coaching: If you have a good understanding of the game, consider becoming an umpire, tech-bench official or coach. It’s a fantastic way to give back and share your knowledge.
- Fundraising: Participate in and support fundraising events that help us pay for improvements to our facilities (like the new toilets that are being developed!).

Building a Family-Friendly Atmosphere
One of the core values of the Naracoorte & District Hockey Association is creating a family-friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and valued. This season, we are committed to fostering a sense of community and mutual support. By working together and supporting each other, we can ensure that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience.
Community Spirit
The success of our association depends on the collective efforts of all our members. By contributing to the family-friendly atmosphere and supporting each other throughout the season, we can build a strong and vibrant hockey community in the South East. Whether you’re a player, coach, parent, or supporter, your involvement makes a difference.
The Future of Hockey in the South East
As we embark on this new season, let’s remember that our actions today will shape the future of hockey in the South East. By investing in our junior players, volunteering our time, and creating a supportive environment, we are paving the way for a bright and sustainable future for the sport we love.
So, lace up your hockey shoes, grab your sticks, and get ready for an unforgettable season. Let’s make this the best one yet!
